Artificial grass and pavers that stay green and stay level.
Buildia Corp installs artificial grass and pavers across the Florida Keys: turf lawns, pool surrounds, putting greens and pet areas, plus travertine, coral stone, porcelain and concrete paver pool decks, patios, walkways and driveways. Every job starts with an excavated, compacted base and a drainage plan, which is what keeps turf from puddling and pavers from settling.

Artificial grass
- Shady areas where real grass won't grow
- Salt-exposed waterfront lots in the Keys
- Pet runs and dog-friendly yards
- Between pavers and around pools
- Backyard putting greens
We remove existing sod, grade and compact a crushed-stone base, add weed barrier, then lay, seam and infill the turf. Good drainage is the difference between turf that lasts and turf that smells or puddles.
Pavers & pool decks
- Travertine: classic, cool underfoot around pools
- Coral stone / keystone: native South Florida look
- Porcelain pavers: low-maintenance and stain-resistant
- Concrete pavers: durable and budget-friendly for driveways
Most paver failures come from what is under them. We excavate, compact a graded base, set edge restraints and plan drainage away from the house and pool before a single paver goes down, then sand and seal on request.
Turf and pavers, planned together
Most of our backyards use both: pavers where people walk, lounge and dine, and turf where kids and dogs play. Designing them together means one base, one drainage plan and clean transitions to the pool, the house and the seawall.
Where we work
We offer artificial grass & pavers throughout the Florida Keys, from Key Largo to Marathon.
Artificial Grass & Pavers FAQ
Does artificial grass get hot?
Turf can get warm in direct Florida sun. Lighter-colored and cooling-infill products help, and we often pair turf with shade or pavers in high-traffic areas.
Is turf good for dogs?
Yes, with a pet-specific product and drainage base it rinses clean and holds up well to dogs.
How long does artificial grass last in Florida?
Quality turf commonly lasts 10–15 years or more, depending on the product, UV exposure and how much traffic it gets. A well-built, well-drained base makes the biggest difference to how long it looks good.
How do you maintain artificial grass?
Rinse it periodically, especially in pet areas, brush the fibers upright in high-traffic spots, and top up infill when needed. On waterfront lots, a rinse after salt spray or a high tide helps keep it clean.
Which pavers stay coolest around a pool?
Light-colored travertine and coral stone stay noticeably cooler underfoot than dark concrete pavers, which is why they are popular for pool decks in South Florida.
Do pavers need to be sealed?
Sealing isn't required but it helps resist stains, mildew and joint-sand loss. We'll recommend a sealer that matches the stone you choose.
Travertine or porcelain pavers for a pool deck?
Travertine stays cool and has a natural, slightly textured surface but is porous and benefits from sealing. Porcelain is very stain-resistant and low-maintenance, and slip-rated outdoor porcelain works well around pools. We help you choose based on look, maintenance and budget.
Can pavers be installed over an existing concrete patio or pool deck?
Sometimes. If the slab is sound, level and drains correctly, a paver overlay can work. Cracked, settling or poorly drained slabs should be removed so the new surface doesn't inherit the same problems.
What affects the cost of a paver project?
Material choice (concrete, travertine, coral stone or porcelain), area, pattern complexity, removal of existing surfaces, base preparation and drainage work. We quote after measuring the site.
Can you install turf and pavers together?
Yes, and it is one of our most requested combinations: stepping pavers set in turf, a paver pool deck that runs into a turf lawn, or a paver driveway with turf borders. We plan the base and drainage for both surfaces at once, so they sit at the right heights and drain away from the house and pool.
